Hi, Stephen! I totally understand what you mean by this. I do think it’s up to the user to dictate how the experience goes, so if you’re going into the app with the mindset of “this is a hook-up app,” then you’re more than welcome to use it that way. However, I don’t think it’s wrong to be open to the possibility of just making friends in those situation. While I do agree that less sexual settings are more conducive for making friends, I don’t see the harm in trying to spark a little more positivity in how we make connections via the apps, too.
